Who is Academy 2.0 for?
At The Academy 2.0, players will be separated based on skill and age. Players new to the sport will be paired with other similar players and coached on the fundamentals of the great game of basketball. Intermediate players will also be paired with intermediate players and coached on more advanced ball handling, shooting, and strength building exercises. Advanced and Elite players will be training with the best players in Orange County and challenged in all aspects of basketball by the best coaches in the area.
Strength and Condition training included in the appropriate grades.
Dynamic warmups in the beginning of all Academy’s.
Individual stations will focus on all principals of basketball.
Courts will be separated based on grade and skill.
Perfect for beginner, intermediate and advanced players.
FIRST DAY IS FREE!
Academy 2.0 hours are 5-7pm for K – 8th grades on Monday & Wednesday at the Ladera Sports Center
$125 per month for unlimited sessions (16+ hours per month)
$50 One-Time payment for registration and Academy 2.0 reversible training jersey

LADERA RANCH, June 19th, 2019 – We are excited to announce Jason Wright will be the Head Trainer for Academy 2.0 and Team Nikos Camps. We would like to send a special Thank you to our amazing Coach Jesse Mercado who ran Academy and Camps over the last 2 years. His hard work and dedication to our players is appreciated. Jesse will continue to coach and share his 20+ years of knowledge and strengths of the game to our club players across our program.
Jason Wright comes to Academy 2.0 and Team Nikos Camps with an extensive knowledge of basketball, U.S and internationally known as a Professional Basketball Trainer. As a high school player Jason received multiple awards playing for his high school team St. Anthony’s High School where he received All CIF, All State Selection, and McDonalds All American nominee. Jason played at L.A. City College and became an All American. Soon after, he played at Division 1 New Orleans University where he was a starting point guard and All-League Selection, and experienced playing in the NCAA Tournament. In addition, Jason was top 10 in assists and 3-point shooting during his college career.
Jason has trained over 50 NBA players, numerous college and High School players across the nation. He has trained Pro Teams and International Teams in 30 different countries. Jason’s ability to teach at a high level allowed him to become a Skill Development coach for WNBA LA Sparks. He has experience as a Jordan and Nike trainer which helped bring his knowledge into various camp atmospheres. Jason is currently the Owner of JW Basketball. We believe Jason will bring a vast amount of skill and knowledge to Academy 2.0 and Camps! Welcome Jason Wright!
