We are excited to announce that Team Nikos is now in LA county. Directed by former Division 1 UCR All-Time leading scorer and Overseas standout Larry Cunningham.
Born in New Jersey but raised in Southern California, Larry Cunningham is a dynamic guard who has enjoyed success at every level of the game.
He was an accomplished high school player, leading Downey High School’s varsity team for three years. By his senior year, he had already accomplished two consecutive All League selections, two 1st Team CIF honors, and he was rated as a Top 10 guard on the west coast. He was selected as the league’s MVP, and earned a Division 1 scholarship to UC Riverside following his senior year.
After four years of determination and resilience at UCR, Larry will be known as the most prolific, All Time Leading Scorer in the history of the program. He once scored 30 points in a single half defeating Big West Conference powerhouse Cal State Fullerton at home in a comeback victory.
Since 2009, Larry has enjoyed playing professional basketball in the Netherlands and in Germany. He is excited to bring his love for the game back to Southern California as a Team Nikos coach for our new LA County Branch.
